It's official folks. The first Samsung Galaxy S2 devices across the ocean have a released version of Ice Cream Sandwich for their devices. Although those who bought their phones from a carrier will have to wait for downloads to be pushed out to them. This is a good sign, but what does that mean for you? Well if your an owner of the ever popular phone in the US, then it shouldn't be long until have the best version of Android running on your device. This also means that those in the hacker community will now have a better source code to help build an ICS rom for you in the meantime. Those owning a Galaxy Nexus have been enjoying this for some time now and those with a Droid Razr or Razr Maxx should have the upadate already. It's a slow roll out process given the many manufacturers, not to mention all the carrier bloatware that has to be added before they can release the updates. If you happen to own a Motorola phone as I do you can check their website
here for when your devices should receive this tasty upgrade. For the rest of you the wait will be long I am sure. Unless you are into rooting and flashing your phone as I am. Then you might have ICS running on it already. Let me know how many of you are currently waiting for or running Android 4.0 at the moment in the comments section.
